Sketches for Akio (2007)
Performance work for rocks, stones, pebbles and digital delay.

Sonic sketches in honour of Suzuki's many explorations along Tango Beach, Japan.

This was a work developed as an improvisation where performers would strike rocks together, exploring the sonic possibilities of the material through the use of their hands (rhythm, dynamic), mouths (resonance), digital delay (repetition, feedback) and the surrounding performance space (reverberation).
